Committee Adds New Members - Jane Goldstein and Darian Butcher
We are pleased to announce that the Justices of the SJC have appointed two new members to our Committee, Jane Goldstein and Darian Butcher.
Jane Goldstein, Ropes & Gray, is co-head of the firm's mergers & acquisitions group for North America and co-managing partner of the Boston office, maintaining offices in both New York and Boston. Jane is also head of the retail & consumer brands industry group.
Jane advises a wide range of public and private companies and their boards of directors with respect to corporate governance, securities regulation and general legal matters, and frequently represents investment banking firms serving in financial advisory roles. She also has extensive experience counseling U.S. companies in the retail and consumer products industry.
Jane is a Trustee of the Massachusetts Women’s Bar Foundation.
Darian Butcher, Day Pitney LLP, is a senior associate in the probate, finance, and commercial litigation practice group at Day Pitney LLP. She represents trustees, beneficiaries, heirs, guardians and conservators in contested and uncontested matters involving trusts, wills, estates, guardianships and conservatorships and assists business clients in complex commercial disputes.
Darian clerked for the Honorable R. Malcolm Graham (Ret.) of the Massachusetts Appeals Court. She is the President of GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) and serves on the board of the Massachusetts Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, on the Complex Commercial Litigation Section Council of the Massachusetts Bar Association, and as co-chair of the Fiduciary Litigation Committee of the Boston Bar Association.
