Seeking Legal Research and Writing Instructor for the Lindsay Fellowship

The Lindsay Fellowship program at the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts currently has an opening for a Legal Research and Writing instructor. The Lindsay Fellowship is a unique, intensive nine-week summer legal program hosted at the U.S. District Court in Boston for college students interested in law. Fellows participate in a legal research and writing course, intern in a judge's chambers, and participate in various additional activities to support their learning.

The program began in 2010 and is in honor of the late Judge Reginald C. Lindsay, the second African-American appointed to our District. The program is intended for students who plan on attending law school and aims to help prepare them for their first year. The Fellowship’s ultimate goal is to diversify the Bar and to provide students from under-resourced communities with information about career and law school options.

This position requires approximately 35 hours of teaching in June 2021, with potential for continuation into future summers. We are asking you to please pass on the attached job posting to your bar association in case there is anyone interested in applying. Please have members view the attached job description for more details and the full list of requested qualifications.

This position will remain open until filled, but we encourage interested applicants to apply by February 5, 2021.
